We've written about which district, whether you need a reservation and what the Saturday costs. The next question is the one people actually text the group chat.
What do we do?
Not a ranked list. Three days we would run. First-timers who came to see why Woodinville exists. A couple who want the day to feel like a date. Six friends who need to park once and not get turned away. Named stops, the fee you'll pay, whether to book and why that order.
The Simple Version
Steal one of these. Do not mash them together.
- First-timers: Hollywood neighbors. Chateau Ste. Michelle, DeLille, Sparkman. Two of those share a building. Book DeLille.
- A couple: Hollywood pockets, slower. Chateau Lill (Saturday-only), Maryhill for lunch, Damsel to stay. Book Lill.
- A group of six: Warehouse on 144th. Park once. Book Pondera, Prohibition and Category 5. Do not take six people to DeLille.
Three stops. Tips on top. Lunch if a kitchen is in the day. The fee math lives in the cost post. This one is the clock.
Saturday 1: First-Timers
You came for the picture. Give them the picture. Then stay in the pocket so you are not teaching geography with a parking lot.
11:00 Chateau Ste. Michelle. Opens 11. $30, not waived. Reservation recommended. Walk the grounds first, while you can still see them. The château, the lawn, the thing people mean when they say they did Woodinville. Pay the $30. Buy a bottle only if you want one.
12:30 DeLille Cellars. Two minutes by car, nine on foot. Book this one. $30, five tastes, not refundable. Last seating is 5:30pm, so you have slack, but do not put it last. Palate is cleaner at noon than at four. Bordeaux-style blends, rooftop, the stop you would hate to miss.
2:00 Sparkman Cellars. Same building as DeLille. Suite 102 next to suite 101. One minute. Opens at 12, so it cannot be first. $25, waived at $50. Reservation recommended. Sparkling in the mix, a different register after a seated DeLille flight. If Sparkman is slammed, Gorman is a three-minute drive and takes walk-ins.
Why that order: Ste. Michelle and DeLille open at 11. Sparkman opens at 12. DeLille is the reservation. Sparkman is next door, so after the château you move the car once and you are done. Park at Ste. Michelle, taste, drive the two minutes to DeLille, stay.
For two people, three full tastings, tips at $7 per person: fees are $30, $30 and $25, or $170 for the pair, plus about $42 in tips. Sparkman may drop if you buy a bottle. The other two will not. Call it $180 to $220 before lunch. That is the Hollywood Saturday we already priced. It is not the cheap one. It is the one that answers "we have never been."
Do not add a Warehouse stop after this. That is the ping-pong day we already told you not to run.
The other first-timer Saturday is the mix-on-purpose version: book DeLille at 11, drive 11 minutes to 144th, walk Pondera and Smasne. That is a good day. It is not this day. Do not stack them.
Saturday 2: A Couple
Not the château tour. The date.
11:00 Chateau Lill. Saturday-only, April through October, 11 to 4. $20 per person. Book the early slot. Goats and alpacas, and they close the outdoor areas later for private events. Groups larger than six call for a picnic table. You are two people. Book it anyway. Space is limited. Linger. This stop closes at 4 and does not exist on Sunday. It has to be first.
Not a Saturday between April and October? Lill is closed. Swap in Novelty Hill-Januik, two minutes from Ste. Michelle, $25 waived at $50, open 11 to 4 every day. Book it. They close at 4 too.
1:00 Maryhill at the Hollywood Schoolhouse. One minute by car, ten on foot. $30, waived with a $40 bottle. Bistro attached. This is lunch. Treat it like a restaurant. Walk-ins exist. Book the table. Restored 1912 schoolhouse, food, a place to sit that is not another bar.
3:15 Damsel Wine Lounge. Two minutes from Maryhill, nine on foot. Opens at 1. $25, waived at $25. One bottle can zero the fee if the waiver is for the table. Ask. Lounge, not a hallway tasting. Stay.
Why that order: Lill is Saturday-only and closes at 4. Maryhill is the kitchen. Damsel opens at 1 and runs until 7, so it can be last. You will drive between pockets. Hollywood is pockets. Three short hops, on purpose. Not a loop back to the Warehouse.
For two people: Lill is $40 and we do not have a waiver on it. Maryhill is $60 in fees or a $40 bottle. Damsel is $50 or a $25-plus bottle. Tips about $42. Lunch extra. About $150 to $200 plus whatever you ate, if you buy at the two rooms that will waive.
Split the Damsel flight if you want. Do not ask Lill, or a bistro, to bisect a seated tasting.
Saturday 3: A Group of Six
Six people is a reservation. Everywhere.
DeLille seats four to a table and will not combine two fours. Chateau Lill wants a phone call and a picnic table above six. Don't fight that. Go where six people can stand at a bar.
Park on 144th. Walk.
12:00 Pondera. Opens 12, closes 5. Book it. $20, waived at $30. Art on the walls, Bordeaux-style reds. Recommended, not walk-in. Small rooms fill because they are small.
1:30 Prohibition Cellars. Two to four minutes on foot. Opens 12, closes 5. $25, waived with a $40 bottle. Groups of six or more: they ask you to book so they can actually host you. Hidden door into production. That's the bit the group will talk about later.
3:00 Category 5 Cellars. Two minutes from Prohibition. Same industrial building as Love That Red, different suite letter. $15, waived at $25. Closes at 6, so it can be last. Book it anyway. Six people arriving at 3 without a note is how you wait in a parking lot.
Backups in the same cluster, all under four minutes: Smasne (walk-ins, $20, waived at $75, do not chase that waiver with six people), Love That Red (walk-ins, $20, waived with a bottle). If Pondera is full, Love That Red. If you want a food stop, Efeste is an eight-minute walk and serves food. That is a detour, not next door.
Why that order: Pondera and Prohibition close at 5. Category 5 closes at 6. Start when they open. Do not add a fourth stop. Six palates, three rooms, one parking spot.
Fees are $20 + $25 + $15, which is $60 a person, $360 for six, before tips. Tips at $5 to $10 each, three stops, is another $90 to $180. Waivers help only if you wanted the wine, and a per-person minimum times six is a case in an afternoon. Pay the $15 to $25. Buy the bottles you actually want. Leave. Figure $450 to $650 all in before anyone gets ambitious at checkout.
One designated driver, or Uber. Parking, walking the Warehouse and the Hollywood-to-144th drive are their own post. For now: one car, one district.
How to Steal These Days
Three stops. Four if you split Warehouse tastings and you are two people. Not five.
Book the one you would hate to miss. Walk the rest only when you are two people in the Warehouse. Six people book all three.
Order by the constraint, not the vibe. Saturday-only first. Earliest open second. Latest close last. Seated wine before the wander, so the good stuff hits a clean palate.
Don't mix districts by accident. We already wrote that. These three days don't.
Lunch is a stop. If Maryhill is in the day, it is the meal. If you are in the Warehouse, eat before you park or accept that you will drink through lunch.
